inputs towards identifying reorder quantity, fast
moving/ slow moving drugs, expired and expiring drugs
etc.
Multilingual:
TallyChemist can be
operated in your mother tongue and/or any other Indian
language or languages, concurrently! This means, you can
maintain accounts in any Indian language, view it in
another and print reports in yet another language of
your choice - at the same time.

List is a comprehensive list of all drugs available in
the market
- This list will
be used by users to create items or even start billing
activities immediately after installation
- Additionally,
periodic updates on new drugs/ medicines launched in the
market will be given to customers (TBD – pricing for
periodic updates)
- Ability to
define master details such as Manufacturer, Generic
Name and Package Type
- Ability to
define list of Manufacturers dealt by a Suppliers and
use the details for placing orders with supplier and in
querying for items details.
- Ability to
define “Drug License Number (s)” and have them printed
in invoices
- Ability to
define the following additional details for Items
- Define
additional details for Items such as
- Manufacturer,
Generic Name, Package Type, Default Shelf, Maximum Stock
Quantity
- Use either
Single Entry or Multiple Entry mode for creating items
- Quickly create
items using the Medicine / Drug List
- Order Book is used to keep
track of stock out items and to place orders with
suppliers/ dealers
- Entries in the order book are
made normally when the user physically see that for a
particular item the stock has gone below acceptable
limit or when a customer ask for an out-of stock item.
- Users will be able to enter
item and quantity details in the order book as and
when required
- Order Book can be quickly
accessed from Point of Sale (POS) Screen using a
single key or button and details of stock out item and
quantity details can be entered
- It will also be possible to add
items directly to the order book from the POS Screen
without opening the “Order Book” screen
- Users can quickly place orders
with suppliers using items entered in the Order Book.
- While placing orders users can
either use items entered in the Order Book OR They can also include items
on the fly using re-order level planning method.
- When items are received from
dealers, then items listed in the order books will get
knocked-of automatically.
Point of
Sale (POS) Screen
- Pre-Configured and quick access
from “Gateway of Tally”
- Select Batch number details for
items
- -Enter unit of measures in item
sales measure or in alternative unit of measure (such
as 10 nos or 1 strip)
- Optionally enter Patient,
Doctor, Sales Man Details
- Search for alternative items
and item stock details
- Accept multiple payment methods
such as cash, credit card, cheque etc
- Automatically include tax
details either for each item or for the entire bill.
- When there is a delay in
receiving payments from a customer, save the details
entered in a bill by using the “Hold” option and
service the next customer
- At a later point of time,
recall the saved bill without the necessity for
re-entering the item details and record payment
details.
- Handle items received for
Exchange or Refund
- Print cash bill/ tax invoice
with details of item sold, manufacturer, batch number,
expiry date, tax amount etc.
Pre-Configured for Chemist Shops
- “Gate way of Tally” will be
replaced by a “TallyChemist” menu for quick access to
day to day tasks such as
- -Point of Sale (POS) Screen
- Goods Receipts
- Items Master and Price List
- Special Reports such as sales
register report, expiry report, non-moving items
report etc.
- Additionally, user will still
continue to have access to menus available in “Gateway
of Tally” to access other features of Tally 9
